Over the past two years under the guidance of new leadership, we at Woven by Toyota took an intentional pause to recognize how far we’ve come as a company, and where we are headed next. What started out as Toyota Research Institute Advanced Development (TRI-AD) has evolved into the dynamic organization we know today.
We set out to reflect this growth in the foundations of our organization by refreshing our purpose, vision, mission and values. Now it’s time for our visual identity to match this transformation, just in time to celebrate Toyota’s upcoming centennial.
Our refreshed logo honors our past, present, and future: from Sakichi Toyoda’s inventions in the loom industry for his mother, to the adaptation of our Woven name, to the revitalization of our company values. An evolution of our current logo, it pays homage to our heritage while illustrating our commitment to human-centric innovation and inventing the path forward through Kakezan.
What is Kakezan? In Japanese, “kakezan” means multiplication. At Woven by Toyota, we’ve expanded that to represent the multiplying power of combining diverse strengths that go further than any of us could on our own. It shows the core of who Woven by Toyota is today and our ever-evolving nature, with weaving connections that represent how we work across departments, regions and industries to drive the future of movement.
Introducing: the refreshed logo of Woven by Toyota*

Keeping the hexagonal silhouette, the updated logo pairs off six threads to form three roads — people, infrastructure, and mobility — intersecting in the center. The red: a nod to our Toyota heritage; the gray: a balanced unification of diverse voices and ideas; and the black: a refined boldness of the execution phase. The red of Toyota meets the black and gray “X”, symbolizing the multiplying power of kakezan. These roads weave together then expand outward infinitely to represent our collaborative impact, inspiring the world through the expansion of mobility.
As we continue on our journey, our commitment to safety and reliability as a Toyota company remains. Thank you to the customers, partners, and team members who’ve shaped each chapter with us. We’re excited to continue inspiring the world of mobility with you as we work towards a future of well-being for all.
In our upcoming posts, we’ll take you behind the scenes of this brand renewal and dive into our updated company values.
*The logo refresh will go live April 2026.
