In early May 2026, Woven by Toyota joined the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Rally Challenge at the foot of Mt. Fuji, part of an event series that brings rally racing and local communities together through a shared passion for motorsports and mobility.

With approximately 90 rally cars competing and thousands of visitors gathering in Susono, home to Woven City, the event brought people together from across the region as one thrilling run after another kept crowds energized throughout the day.

As part of the day's activities, Woven by Toyota participated both on and off the course. Hajime Kumabe, CEO, and John Absmeier, CTO, joined the rally as driver and co-driver, while the Woven City booth welcomed visitors to learn more about the city taking shape nearby. Throughout the day, team members connected with local residents and visitors, sharing exciting progress on Woven City while hearing firsthand their hopes, questions and perspectives on the future taking shape in Susono.
