John Wong

John Wong is the Vice President and Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Woven by Toyota, leading the worldwide search for the engineers and other skilled professionals intent on defining the future of mobility.

John is a nearly 23-year veteran of the talent and human resources profession. Before joining Woven by Toyota in October 2021, he spent five years as Head of Human Resources for the Toyota Research Institute in Palo Alto, California. Previously, John gained extensive experience in the financial services industry in Hong Kong as Managing Director and Head of Human Resources for ICBC International, Head of Human Resources for Equities, Investment Banking and Research at Daiwa Capital Markets, and Executive Director of Experienced Recruiting for Goldman Sachs Asia.

John began his career in Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan in New York, before transferring to human resources, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Providence College in Rhode Island.
